Summary
"For many years the Billerica Public Library has housed the catalogs of the Old South Burying Ground, the Old Corner Burying Ground and the North Cemetery (excluding the most recent burials there). In 2001, Librarians Kathy Meagher and Greg McClay from the Billerica Public Library began the task of digitally cataloging these and the other historic cemeteries in Billerica. They mapped, photographed, and cataloged each headstone and epitaph. The Smallpox, Rogers and Job Hill Cemeteries were completed in 2001. In 2004, Eagle Scout Joshua P. Baustert, Troop 651, Billerica, volunteered to undertake the daunting task of cataloging, photographing and mapping the South Burying Ground. By 2006, the Old Corner Burying Ground was completed and the North Cemetery was started. These digital catalogs and maps are available online at www.billericalibrary.org."
